Lebanon’s only international performing arts program featuring faculty from America’s best Universities, Broadway Musical Theater programs, and Symphony Orchestras.
We are pleased to announce that 2020 program will be freewith optional voluntary donations for those can afford to support the program in the difficult time for Lebanon's economy.
This summer we will be working both in-person at the Hayali Suites Hotel and online.
The 2020 program: String and Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Broadway, Songwriting and Composition!
String Orchestra: Maestro Dr. Amr Selim will lead the Festival String Orchestra mornings from 9 to 11am followed by Symphony Orchestra from 11am to 1pm in the lobby of the Hayali Suites Hotel. There will be optional chamber music ensembles in the afternoon from 2pm and online group and private lessons (from your home) with violinist Cassandra Bequary, violist Kim May Nguyen,and cellist Avery Waite in the late afternoons and early evenings.
Symphonic Band: Woodwinds and Brassled by Dr. Amr Selim of LAU. This ensemble will join forces with the Festival String Orchestra to create the Symphony Orchestra daily from 11am to 1pm. After a lunch break, the Symphonic band program will continue from 2 to 4pm in the lobby of the Hayali Suites Hotel.
Composition: There will be online group classes and private lessons in composition with Dr. Jamie Whitmarsh daily from 4pm through the evening. You will be given a composition assignment upon registering for the program. Completed compositions will be rehearsed, recorded and performed by the faculty in the final concert.
Broadway Stars: The Broadway Musical Theater program with Kate Bass will be held online daily and comprised of group classes and solo lessons in the late afternoon and early evening. In addition there will be three live rehearsals at the Hayali Suites with piano, scheduled with Music Director, Elie Sawma. These rehearsals will be your opportunity to prepare the large ensemble songs and any solos or duets selected to be performed at the final concert.
Children's Classes: Due to space limitations, we are unable to offer in-person training this year for children. We will, however, continue to offer online group lessons via Zoom. Please follow information posted in your classes' whatsapp group. Children are welcome and encouraged to perform at the Open Mic on Friday, August 7.
All classes and concerts take place at the Hayali Suites Hotel in Kaslik.

In addition to offering a free program, the funding provided by the Sinquefield Charitable Foundation, allows us to offer the following additional support to the participants: -Housing in shared double rooms a the Hayali Suites hotel for participants living far from Kaslik or unable to commute daily. Up to 12 beds available. -Transportation support: Support to transportation by bus or service taxi to classes. -WiFi and Cell phone data support: Financial support for those taking online classes needing financial assistance with cell phone data or wifi expenses.
