Dr. Jason Terry is a musician with experiences in performing, teaching, and scholarship. As a solo and collaborative artist, he has given performances throughout the United States, France, South Korea, and Central & Southeast Asia.
With a passion to teach, Jason has taught both private and group piano lessons, as well as music theory and music history courses at the collegiate level. Additionally, he is the former director of Midlands Music Academy, a full-band/orchestra academy in South Carolina. Research presentations have taken him to conferences in the U.S., Southeast Asia, and he has been invited to present at multiple European conferences throughout 2017. Dr. Terry is currently on staff at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University where he teaches in the piano pedagogy division and for the Young Pianists Program. He holds degrees in piano performance, church music, and musicology. |
